Playing Experience

I played extensively throughout High School in goalkeeper and forward positions.  I have played competitive indoor soccer for over 10 years.  We were extremely successful county wide and were finalists in the R.I.C.S National League.

For over 10 years I played rugby league and then semi-professionally for the prestigious Leeds Rhinos.

Coaching Philosophy

Let the game be the Teacher’

I want my players to develop the confidence to maximize their potential, to value the team and their love of soccer. Regardless of the level of play, soccer should be a growing experience, whilst improving fundamental skills and team working.  Keeping it simple and having fun is essential to the teaching of the game.

My training sessions are carefully structured and planned not to be repetitive - which keeps their interest and enthusiasm.  We work consistently hard on fitness, agility and technique.
In training we concentrate on small sided games to maximize the touches on the soccer ball.

I ask that they play hard, train hard and give 100% in everything that they do.  I also stress that we don’t always have to win to be successful.   Every game is a learning experience and I encourage the children to recognize their own mistakes and give them the opportunity to correct them without any pressure from the coach.

I demand my team respect Coaches, Referees, Officials, and their fellow team mates.
