Personal beliefs and coaching philosophy

The biggest thing that I want my players to take away from me is that no matter what you attempt in soccer or life always give 100%. Leave everything on the field. You don't always have to be the best but you do have to try your best. It’s not always about the win. Sometimes a loss can give you the best opportunities to see the character that lies within. It’s when times are tough that your going to see what people are made of. Let the game be the teacher someone once said. I agree completely. Sometimes the best thing a coach can do is sit back, be quiet and let the players figure out what to do next. The players need to have a love for the game. If you don't have the love then your never going to reach your full potential. Last but not least remember that at the end of the day it's a game is meant to be fun. You can get the most out of your players when they enjoy what they are doing whether it's training or playing the game.
